What Happens at Your First Visit

Many people feel nervous before seeing a surgeon. Here is exactly what to expect, so you can come in knowing how it will go.

  1. You Sit Down and Talk

You tell Dr. Sajjad what you feel, in your own words. He listens without rushing you.

  2. He Examines You

He looks at your legs or the affected area, and may use an ultrasound scan there and then to see the blood flow.

  3. He Explains It Plainly

He tells you what is wrong and why, often with a simple drawing, so you and your family understand it.

  4. You Decide Together

He explains your choices, what each involves, the recovery and the cost. Nothing is done without your agreement.

You are always welcome to bring a family member into the room with you.

What Patients Say

Rated 5 out of 5 by verified patients on Google, with 100 percent reporting they were satisfied.

My legs used to ache and swell every evening and I thought I would have to live with it. He explained the vein problem to me with a drawing. After the laser treatment the heavy feeling is gone. He never once made me feel like I was wasting his time.

I am a doctor myself and I send my own patients to him for vein and artery problems. That should tell you enough. He is careful, he is honest about what surgery can and cannot do, and he does not push people into operations they do not need.

My father is diabetic and had a wound on his foot that would not heal. We were told he might lose the foot. Dr. Sajjad treated it step by step and saved it. We are from Mardan and he arranged an evening online call for our follow up so we did not have to travel every week.

The wait was short and he sat with me for a proper amount of time. He answered every question, even the ones I was shy to ask. I understood exactly what my operation would involve before I agreed to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

These are fair questions and you deserve plain answers. Here are the ones patients ask most.

Ask your own question
Will the treatment hurt?

Most vein treatments cause little pain. You are given medicine so the area is numb, and you can go home the same day. For bigger operations you are given anaesthesia so you feel nothing during the surgery. Some soreness afterwards is normal and is managed with simple pain medicine. Dr. Sajjad will tell you honestly what to expect for your own case before anything is done.

Will I be put to sleep?

It depends on the treatment. Many vein procedures are done while you are awake, with only the leg numbed. Larger operations may need general anaesthesia, which means you are asleep and feel nothing. This is always explained and agreed with you first.

How long until I can walk and go back to work?

For most vein treatments you can walk the same day, and light walking is encouraged. Many people return to office work within a few days. Heavier physical work may need one to two weeks. Recovery is different for every person and every procedure, so you will be given a clear plan for your own situation.

Do I need to stay overnight in hospital?

Many vascular treatments are day cases, which means you come in and go home the same day. Some larger operations need a short hospital stay. You will know which one applies to you before the day of treatment, so you can arrange things at home.

Will the problem come back?

For most conditions, proper treatment gives a lasting result, but no honest doctor can promise a problem will never return. A lot depends on the condition and on care afterwards, such as managing diabetes or wearing support stockings when advised. Dr. Sajjad will explain the real chances for your case, without over-promising.

How much does it cost?

Fees are discussed openly and clearly before any treatment, with no hidden charges. The cost depends on the condition and the treatment needed. If you are worried about cost, please raise it. It is a normal and fair question, and it will be answered plainly.
